Black and Brown Combo + Luxury Dupes

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back to my page! We are already three months into the New Year. How has it been going for you?

It’s been such a little while since I’ve published a blog post. I have been updating you all via my Instagram. Make sure you’re following me here for regular updates.

One of the areas that I’ve been working since the last blog post is the design and launch of my very first t-shirt. I am so happy about the special message, encouraging word, and vision behind it! You can learn more about it and shop here.

Over the past few months, a few members of The Vivid Styling community requested a luxury dupe post. For those that may be unaware, dupe items are bags, shoes, or clothing that have been inspired by the designer. The dupe item looks similar to the luxury item, but is not made of the same materials. Please note that dupes and knock-offs are different as dupes have their own brand labels, not the labels of the luxury company.

I’ve also received questions on pairing of colors. Here are some: Is it okay to wear black and brown together? Is it okay to wear navy blue and black together? I’m feeling very generous, so I will be sharing a brown and black combo today as well as luxury dupes.

With this look, I am wearing heels that are a dupe for the Valentino Rockstud heels and a handbag that is a dupe for the Chloe pixie bag. Bag and shoe information and links are below which I purchased for approximately $21 each. I absolutely love the pairing of the black blouse and brown pants. I got the blouse for approximately $16. Super fancy right? I got the pants on super sale for approximately $6 at Ross on the clearance rack. I told you all that I love a good deal. I also got the pants amended at the cleaners. For an great pair of pants, I paid a total of approximately $10 or so including the amendment cost. Excluding the trip to the cleaners, this entire outfit was at an estimated cost of $64.99!!

Let’s get into these dupes:

Today I am sharing 6 dupes with you all. If you are interested in these types of budget conscious posts and if you want to see more, subscribe and comment below on this blog post!!

Dupe for Valentino Garavani Rockstud Pumps

Here are some more just incase the ones I have on may be sold out:

Dupe for Chloe Small Pixie Bag

Dupe for Gianvito Rossi Pointy-Toe Leather Block-Heel Bootie

Dupe Cult Gaia’s Ark – Natural

Dupe for Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ Pump

Dupe for Chanel Espadrilles

These dupes are very similar to the luxury items and are all very reasonably to moderately priced. I believe that if you are unsure about whether you like the luxury item enough to spend the money on it, then the dupe version may be the way to go. You may also choose to use the dupe as a trial to see if you will wear it often. You may really like a certain luxury item and just want to save for it. It’s all about what works for the individual. I like a good balance!

  1. I love this black and brown look as it is not your typical black and brown look. The black has texture and the brown is a unique shade. Would love to see more black and brown combinations for ideas.

    Thanks for this post!

    1. I absolutely agree! Those were two characteristics that I noticed with the black and brown look. I’ve noted this and will look to incorporate more. You’re welcome, and thank you for your support!!
