Why hello there!
I’ve returned with another amazing look that really blew my own socks off when I styled it.
This look combines athletic wear with business attire and street-wear. I was inspired by this look because of my desire to be comfortable while still maintaining a business look. Business looks are my go-to! Furthermore, I was shooting in one of my favorite Metro Washington, D.C. area neighborhoods that is up and coming, a great place for young professionals and beyond.
So what pieces did I put together?
- Boots: I like starting with shoes sometimes. The inspo. was to wear my over-the-knee boots. These boots are more like thigh-high and aren’t going be everyone’s cup-of-tea. That’s fine.
- Blazer: Listen to me. You need an over-sized blazer. They have great multi-functional use in your wardrobe, which includes wearing it as a dress.
- Hooded sweatshirt dress: LISTEN! When I bought this Puma dress, I envisioned it with my workout leggings and with athletic shorts, but the WOW factor was in how I layered it with a blazer.
- Biker shorts: Biker shorts are a must for ladies to wear underneath certain dresses and clothing. Guard your goods ladies!
- Accessories: A good wristlet/clutch, statement waist belt, and sunnies add the right touches to this outfit. The good thing about choosing classics are the timeless nature of them pairing so well with many outfits.
