Suit Style: How to Wear Red & Pink

Why Hello! This post is for the Woman who doesn’t always wear a black or gray suit with a white shirt to work or to an event. As a Woman that loves bold and bright colors, I always look for ways to incorporate color in any type of my work wear clothing.

For today’s look, I’m serving you with a color combination that’s been on my mind. That is Red & Pink!

Red & Pink was featured in the Spring 2018 Fashion Week Show. You can really do a lot with these two colors when it comes to outfit versatility. You can even darken the pink to a fuchsia color. You can even wear pink pants or a pink skirt with a red top. These two colors are also great for the Summer and can be incorporated in your swimwear.

When I thought of styling a red & pink combination, my red slacks that I wear all year round immediately came to mind. I decided to pair these slacks with a red jacket for a suit style look.

Since this look was for work or a business lunch, I didn’t want to wear too many bright colors. Therefore, I went with a light pink button up shirt. This shade of pink is also a good color for the Summer. A few of my Spring/Summer pieces are this shade of pink. To complement the shirt, I went with my light pink and gold earrings, as seen in previous post (Orange You Ready).

I wore white heeled sandals that I purchased a few years back. I chose white, because it complements the outfit.

Now, let get to the details of this handbag. Folks, I immediately saw this bag when I walked into an accessories store at a local mall near my New Jersey hometown. Guess how much I purchased this bag for? $18.55! It was originally $29, and there was a 40% off sale going on that weekend. What a great deal! Like I told you, one of the reasons that I’m here is to show you that you can be stylish on a budget.
