Transitioning Summer Work-wear into the Fall + My #CorporateAmerica1’s

We are at that time of the year where wearing long sleeves, pants, jackets, and boots will have one sweating by mid-day.  Today I am sharing how to transition a Summer work dress into the Fall season.

This dress is a nice shade of blue.  I really love everything about this dress and of course, it is comfortable.  This dress can easily be paired with a black or white cardigan or blazer to keep warm in the morning or at work if your office temperature is cold.  This is really a look that takes seconds to pair together, convenient for when you just don’t have much time in the morning.

With this look, I also wore my gingham slides to walk in around the city.  The print and design on the slides are stylish.  I wore these gingham slides with super cute dresses and shorts during the weekends of Summer.  I also regularly wore them into work as transitional footwear for my high-heels.

Fun fact about me: I don’t drive in my heels nor walk into work in my heels. This is why I call my gingham slides my Corporate America 1’s.

Fun tip: Your heels will last longer if you don’t wear your heels while driving and walking outside for an extensive period of time.

Here are some more tips:

  1. Fall is still all about color.  Take some of your colorful dresses, shirts, skirts, and shorts from the Summer and add some layers.
  2. For example, transition your dresses or skirts from Summer by adding a blazer or a cardigan and some booties.
  3. For your skirts and shorts, you can wear sweaters with sneakers or booties.
  4. You can also wear some sweaters with jeans or skirts and pair them with slides or mules.
  5. Have some fun with it!  Mix and match!  Versatility and comfort is key!

There you have it.  If I helped you in any way, please feel free to leave a comment below.
