Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a Happy Easter! Since April is Financial Literacy Month, I just wanted to share how I saved money this month while purchasing heels in a color I love.
To start off, I’ve been looking for heels in yellow for the longest time. I absolutely love the color yellow. A google search led me to yellow heels on the website of Macy’s that were listed for $89.99. I knew $89.99 exceeded what I was looking to spend on shoes, especially if I want to hit these financial goals! I did have a coupon for Macy’s, but sometimes the coupons qualify and sometimes they don’t.
I remembered I had a $20 off coupon to DSW. I took the name of the shoe, typed it into DSW’s website and saw the shoe listed for $59.95. What made it better was that the shoes qualified for an additional percentage off and with my $20 off DSW coupon, these heels came to $29! Yes, such a great price!! I will feature these heels in my next post!
So, I have three top factors to consider when shopping for shoes, especially if you want a great deal:
1) Compare prices at different retailers.
2) Think of places where you may have their gift cards and coupons. Your gift cards and coupons need to be used eventually or they’ll expire, so why not use them on an item you want in order to save money?
3) Try purchasing around a holiday sale to get a percentage off your order.
Feel free to reply with your thoughts and if this was helpful!
