It’s that time of the year when the weather calls for layering and the season calls for holiday colors. During this time of the year, I like to feature more pops of red in my outfit and make the Fall to Winter fashion fun by mixing prints.
I was able to get this outfit during the Nordstrom Rack Clear the Rack sale that went on at the end of Summer. During that time, I was able to get some staple items for my Fall work-wear wardrobe. If you are not familiar, Nordstrom Rack Clear the Rack sale adds an extra 25% off of clearance items, which allows for a total savings up to 75%.
When I mix stripes together, I look for contrasting stripes. Thankfully, I was able to find this staple blouse in which the stripes are both horizontal and vertical. Since the stripes were a bit more pronounced, I chose a more subtle plaid blazer. When wearing and even mixing stripes on the top half, it’s great to go neutral on the bottom half. This is why I chose off-white/cream-colored pants. If you have on stripes on the bottom half, neutral or a color works well on the top.
These earrings were a great Nordstrom Rack find. Not only does it go well with my outfit, but I can wear it with so many other looks.
